New office for 1,600 employees

Project: Traktören

Project category: Project management

Client: Stadfastighetsförvaltningen

Year: 2025

The redevelopment of Traktören comprises 24,000 sqm transformed into an activity‑based office scheduled for completion in 2026. At that point, 1,600 of the City of Gothenburg’s employees will have a functional and activity‑based workplace.

The building is currently used by the Urban Planning Department and the Urban Environment Department. After the redevelopment, the City Property Management Department and the Exploitation Department will also relocate to the premises. Bringing together the city’s departments for urban development and construction creates strong conditions for efficient working methods and collaboration. It also makes matters easier for the city’s residents by providing a single, consolidated centre for building‑related services.

Inhouse Tech is managing the project on behalf of the City Property Management Department throughout the entire process, from design and execution to handover, and also serves as the client’s installations manager and the appointed person responsible under the Planning and Building Act.
