Project: The largest pulp mill in the northern hemisphere

Project category: Industrial structures

Client: Metsä Fibre/Valmet

Year: 2021

The Kemi pulp mill in northern Finland, near the Swedish border, will become the largest facility for processing wood‑based products in the northern hemisphere and will produce 1.5 million tonnes of pulp per year. An investment of just over 2 billion euros makes it the largest investment ever in the Finnish forest industry. Inhouse Tech has designed the steel structures required for the evaporation process.
